What is needed to book a cruise date?

All bookings require a $300 deposit to hold your cruise dates. Your cruise tour balance is due after your tour. Cash or credits cards only.

What if we need to cancel a cruise?

If the captain has canceled your cruise due to weather, all money will be refunded. We understand that plans can change and we strive to accommodate your every need including rescheduling and cancellations. Please contact us soon as you have a change of plans at (540) 247-5299. If canceled with 2 weeks notice, we will offer you a refund of your deposit. If canceled less than 2 weeks of your scheduled cruise date, we hold and apply your deposit to a future cruise of your choosing. (Any retained deposit may be used as a non-refundable deposit on a future cruise within 60 days. After 60 days, it will be forfeited.) We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. * Cancellation within 48 hours of a charter or not showing up for your charter will result in being charged with no refunds.

How many people are allowed on the cruise?

Please check with Captain Ron regarding the size of your party. Be sure to let us know how many children may be boarding and their ages. Coast Guard regulations require age appropriate and properly sized life vest.

When do we need to arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. We are required by law to provide a short boat tour and safety briefing before we can leave the dock.

What happens if the forecast has predicted stormy weather?

Southwest Florida is known for its passing showers that don’t stay for long. If the captain deems the storms to not be safe enough for travel, he will cancel the charter. You may reschedule your charter with no penalty or receive a full refund.

What happens if we hit stormy weather while on the cruise?

While on board “Carolina Daze”, Captain Ron monitors all local weather patterns and weather broadcast channels. Usually, passing showers do not last for long. At the Captain’s discretion, if deemed safe, he will continue to cruise. If he deems the weather not to be safe, he will find safe harbor until the threat passes.

Is food allowed on the charter?

Yes, you may bring food and drinks aboard. You are welcome to heat any food you bring in “Carolina Daze’s” fully equipped galley. We also offer customized concierge services. The crew of “Carolina Daze” can provide food and drinks to meet your needs and any special event or occasion. Be sure to discuss your needs with Captain Ron. We also recommend our Lunch Destination Cruises or a combination Beach Excursions and Lunch Destination Cruise. It’s your private charter and Capt. Ron can customize every cruise to your liking.

Are we allowed to bring a pet?

Pets are not allowed on our cruise. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Are we allowed to smoke?

While on board “Carolina Daze” our cruises are a “No Smoking Zone”. For the safety and comfort of others no tobacco problems are allowed. However, it’s your private charter and Capt. Ron can accommodate most any needs including “smoke breaks”.

What should we wear and bring with us?

Comfortable clothes for the predicted weather and a change of clothes if needed like a bathing suit. Supplies such as beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and sandals are highly recommended. Don’t forget your camera! Other supplies we suggest are a good book, snacks, and any other personal things you may need. We do not recommend wearing dark or long sleeve clothing or shoes with dark soles as the Florida sun will heat them up. * Spray type lotions and sunscreens are not allowed

Is it common to get seasick?

While motion sickness can happen to anyone, it is not very likely that it will be a problem. If you are susceptible to it and think it may be a problem, there are over the counter medications that you can take an hour before departure. Speak to your local pharmacist to find one that may help you.

Will we have cell phone service?

Yes, you will be in full range of cell phone service always during your cruise.

Are we allowed to bring and drink alcoholic beverages on the charter?

Alcoholic beverages are permitted on board “Carolina Daze”. Drinking is allowed if a passenger is 21 and over. Cups and glasses with lids are recommended. Ice will be provided by the captain upon request. * Red wine, however, is not permitted as it stains.
